about

I wrote ‘The Other Side’ during a 20-minute crossing on a flat-bed ferry between County Kerry and County Clare, the hills of Clare getting ever closer. It is also the title track of my 2000 album, getting a new setting here. Tommy Peoples, the legendary fiddle player, composed ‘Tripping down the Stairs’. The incredible John Joe Kelly drives the beat on bodhran.
