about

The first tune is from the master fiddler and composer Tommy Peoples R.I.P. He never recorded it and I once 'hummed/diddled' it to him down the phone and he said he had composed it but had no name for it. A seldom heard tune but a Tommy beauty. I got the next tune from the accordian playing of Martin Donaghue of Cavan. We met a few times in our early years at the amazing Kilmihil Fleadh in County Clare. This I recorded on my old trusty tape recoder one late night in the back room of Declan MacNamara's pub.
