about

I wrote the first tune in recognition of the work of World Peace Flame, a charity that promotes education strategies worldwide to help young people to promote peace and conflict resolution. I composed the march ‘Hope’ after visiting Auschwitz. My initial musical response came out out as dark and mournful; but the inspiration of survivors leads to a motif of marching onwards despite adversity.
